Telemetry RN Job in Reno, Nevada

Renown South Meadows Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Telemetry unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026, offering stability and focused patient care in a telemetry setting.

Position Details

• Work 3 days per week on 12-hour day shifts (36 guaranteed hours weekly)
• No call requirements
• Weekly pay: $2,075

Requirements

• Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience
• Must successfully complete a telemetry competency exam including rhythm strip identification and measurement; failure results in contract termination

Clinical Responsibilities

You will provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families across a diverse patient population. Care includes patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, and COPD, as well as post-procedure patients including those with pacemakers, ablations, cath lab procedures, and open heart surgery patients downgraded from intensive care.

You will administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro, and may float to intensive care units for telemetry-appropriate and medically appropriate assignments, medical-surgical units, and sister facilities as needed based on department census and operational needs.

Schedule Considerations

• Schedule may vary based on department needs and may include weekends and holidays
• Some call shifts may be required despite the stated no call requirement for regular assignments
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
