Telemetry RN Job in Reno, Nevada

You will work as a registered nurse on a 38-bed telemetry unit at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. This is a night shift position with 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week, providing 36 guaranteed hours weekly. The assignment runs for 91 days, beginning August 24, 2026.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Monitor and provide care for patients with conditions including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, and COPD
• Care for post-procedure patients, including those with pacemakers, ablations, cath lab procedures, and OHS patients downgraded from ICU
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
• Identify and measure rhythm strips as part of telemetry competency requirements
• Manage patient ratios typically ranging from 1:4 to 1:6, determined by acuity and workload

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current Nevada RN license required before start date
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS (APEX) certifications required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam

Additional Information

• Unit staffed with RNs, CNAs, Critical Care Techs, and Advanced Care Techs
• May float to Intensive Care Units for telemetry or medical-appropriate assignments, medical-surgical units, and other facility locations
• No on-call requirements
• Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts based on department needs
• May be required to work major holidays

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,365.20.
