Job Details:

• 4x12 shift schedule with both day and mid shifts required
• ONS/ONCC certification required
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
• Assists physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients and intervenes when necessary
• Administers medications as prescribed
• Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
• Delivers competent patient care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Interacts with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at time of discharge
• Informs patients and families of hospital procedures
• Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
