Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Monterey, CA

Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You will support acute care patients across 2 cardiac catheterization lab suites and 1 EP lab, performing procedures and providing pre-operative and recovery care.

Schedule and Compensation

• 5×8 rotating shifts: 8-hour day shifts Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Rotating weeknight call: 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM the following day
• Rotating weekend call: every 3rd weekend, Friday 3:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM, with a 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM shift included
• Approximately 10 call shifts per month with a 30-minute response time
• Holiday call coverage on a rotating basis
• Weekly pay: $3,456
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: August 10, 2026

Clinical Responsibilities

• 4–5 EP cases and 6–7 cath cases per day
• Common procedures: PCI, pacemaker insertion, STEMI intervention, diagnostic catheterization, TAVR, and Watchman procedures
• Total patient care assignments, pre-operative assessment, and post-operative recovery

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years cardiac catheterization lab experience
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Structural experience preferred but not required
• RCIS certification preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic EMR experience; McKesson, Philips, or Siemens experience also valued

Additional Details

• Unit orientation: 2–3 shifts depending on your experience
• Scrubs provided by facility
• BSN not required
