Operating Room RN Job in Columbus, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Piedmont Columbus Regional - Northside in Columbus, Georgia. This is an 84-day travel assignment starting November 9, 2026, with 4x10 day shifts and block scheduling.

Compensation and Schedule

• Weekly pay: $2,272
• Shift: 4x10 days
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating call approximately 5 shifts per month
• Maximum 7 days pre-approved time off per contract

Requirements

• Valid Georgia or Compact nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 16 orientation hours required

Clinical Scope

You'll support multiple surgical service lines including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, orthopedic spine, neurosurgery spine, urology, and plastics. You'll care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients. Required procedural skills include hysterectomy, cholecystectomy, arthroscopy, total joint replacement, spinal fusion, mastectomy with reconstruction, hernia repair, nephrectomy, thyroidectomy, and many others. You may float within the facility and to sister facilities as needed within your scope of practice.

Facility Support

The facility provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries.

Time Off Policy

All requested time off must be finalized at the time of submission. No schedule requests are accepted post-offer or on-site. If one or two major holidays fall during your assignment, you are expected to work them. If three major holidays fall during the assignment, you are expected to work two of them.
