SLP Therapy Job in Union, SC

You'll work as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a skilled nursing facility setting, serving a geriatric population with complex communication and swallowing needs. This is a part-time position offering flexibility and variety across two locations.

• Schedule: 20 hours per week across a shared schedule: typically 3 days at one facility and 2 days at the other, structured as two 8-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift
• Patient Load: 5–9 patients daily
• Patient Population: Adults with cognitive impairment, CVA, dementia, CHF, COPD, diabetes, dysphagia, aphasia, and cognitive decline
• Your Responsibilities: Assess and treat patients using evidence-based speech-language pathology interventions, document using electronic medical records with SOAP note format, and collaborate with the care team on individualized treatment plans

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of speech-language pathology experience
• Current BLS certification
• South Carolina state SLP license (must be obtained prior to start date if currently pending)
• Demonstrated experience with aphasia, apraxia, and dementia/Alzheimer's patients

Preferred Qualifications:

• Special training or certification working with dementia patients
• Experience with muscular dystrophy, anoxia, autism, cleft palate, prosthetic devices, or progressive neurological diseases

What to Know: You'll receive an 8-hour orientation. The facility maintains an attendance policy where more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract may result in position cancellation. All requested time off must be submitted with your initial application.

Assignment duration is 91 days, starting June 22, 2026.
