Endoscopy RN Job in Baton Rouge, LA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy department at Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge. This is a 91-week travel assignment starting September 28, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,391.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Possible shift windows: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, depending on unit needs
• On-call responsibilities for after-hours, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time

Responsibilities

• Function independently across all Endoscopy areas, including advanced endoscopy procedures
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation using Propofol, Versed, and reversal agents
• Manage airways, perform colonoscopy and EGD, handle specimens, start and maintain IVs, and recover patients from conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care
• Support EUS, ERCP, bronchoscopy, and EBUS procedures
• Work with bariatric procedures and ION Robot technology (preferred experience)
• Manage portable and bedside travel cases and provide pre- and post-procedure care
• Care for patients in inpatient and outpatient endoscopy settings
• Serve a daily census of approximately 25 patients across 4 rooms, treating adult and geriatric populations

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Endoscopy specialty
• Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Compact or Louisiana nursing license
• Epic charting system experience (preferred)
