Endoscopy RN Job in Baton Rouge, LA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy department at Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge. This is a full-time travel position lasting 13 weeks, starting October 26, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Possible shift windows: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Rotating on-call responsibilities for after-hours, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time
• Weekly pay: $2,411

Role Responsibilities

You will function independently across all endoscopy areas and demonstrate full competence in advanced procedures including EUS, ERCP, colonoscopy, and EGD. You will manage pulmonary procedures including bronchoscopy and EBUS. Your duties include administering and monitoring conscious sedation, airway management, propofol administration, starting and maintaining IVs, managing reversal agents, specimen handling and labeling, and pre- and post-procedure care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Endoscopy specialty
• Current RN license (Compact or Louisiana)
• ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Competency in conscious sedation, airway management, colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, and bronchoscopy
• Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting unit needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with bariatric procedures
• Expertise in ION Robot technology
• Epic charting system experience
