Job Details:

• Work 4x10 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rotating weekend schedule every 5-6 weekends
• Rotating on-call every 5-6 nights required
• Circulating role required with floating between circulating positions
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility
• 1 year of experience required in an acute care hospital and circulating position
• First time travelers accepted with applicable experience
• Previous charge experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• New York nursing license required
• Required certification: BLS
• Perform circulating duties across a range of surgical procedures including general OR, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, orthopedic procedures, urological procedures, and more
• Serve patient population including adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics
• Average daily census of approximately 15 cases per day across 4 operating rooms
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Competency in fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, infection control, specimen handling, universal protocol, cell saver, and blood product administration required
