Med Surg RN Job in Carlsbad, NM

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at Carlsbad Medical Center, providing direct patient care on day shifts. This is a 13-week travel assignment beginning June 8, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shifts: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• Floating and call required as needed for census flex prior to scheduled shifts when census is low
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated with request
• 48-hour guarantees are not approved

Patient Care

• Patient ratio of 1:6
• General medical-surgical nursing duties with occasional non-critical pediatric patients
• EMR system: MedHost

Requirements

• RN license (current and valid)
• 2+ years of nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Fingerprint clearance required for all New Mexico travelers
