Med Surg RN Job in Santa Fe, NM

CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position working night shifts. This is a full-time travel role based in Santa Fe, NM.

Position Details:

• Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: August 10, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,948.32
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Weekend requirement: 2 to 4 shifts per month (rotated)
• On-call not required but may be requested if census rises

Responsibilities:

• Provide routine and complex nursing care in a Med/Surg setting, practicing independently
• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients
• Float to all Med/Surg departments as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided in the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed

Requirements:

• RN license in state of employment or compact license
• BLS certification from AHA
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Grey scrubs required
