Med Surg RN Job in Carlsbad, NM

You are a registered nurse with at least one year of experience seeking a 13-week travel assignment in medical-surgical nursing. Carlsbad Medical Center has an immediate opening for you on their Med Surg unit, with day shifts running 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, three days per week on a 12-hour schedule.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide general skilled nursing care at the SNF level on a 15-bed Med Surg unit
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:8
• Float within scope of practice and clinical competency to Rehab and Med/Surg units as needed
• Respond to on-call requests for census flex prior to your scheduled shift if census is low
• Participate in varying call schedules as required by the facility

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current RN licensure; you must be registered with the State of New Mexico and complete the required fingerprint process
• Minimum one year of nursing experience (two or more years preferred)
• Valid BLS certification
• Familiarity with MedHost EMR system helpful

Assignment Details

• 13-week assignment beginning June 29, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,782
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• No 48-hour guarantees
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if requested in your submittal
