Med Surg RN Job in Carlsbad, NM

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at Carlsbad Medical Center. This is a 13-week day shift position running from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, three days per week at $2,134 weekly pay.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform general medical-surgical inpatient nursing duties
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6
• Care for occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the floor
• Float between assignments as needed
• Be available for call as required
• Participate in census flex on-call prior to your scheduled shift if census is low

Scheduling and Requirements

• No standard on-call schedule for Med-Surg positions
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if included in your submittal
• 48-hour guarantees are not approved
• Wear scrubs in any color
• Work in the MedHost EMR system

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• Fingerprints required for all New Mexico travelers
