Med Surg RN Job in Carlsbad, NM

Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Medical-Surgical nursing. This is a night shift position working 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide general medical-surgical inpatient nursing care
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6
• Care for occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the Med-Surg floor
• Floating between units as needed
• Respond to census flex on-call requirements when census is low prior to scheduled shifts

Assignment Details:

• Contract start: August 10, 2026
• Duration: 91 days (13 weeks)
• Weekly pay: $2,134
• Scrub color: Any color
• EMR system: MedHost
• Facility: Carlsbad Medical Center, Carlsbad, NM

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers
