Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Float requirement across Med/Surg, Orthopedics, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Practice independently in clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
• Provide routine and complex nursing care with ability to focus on long-range goals and plans
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only)
• Active RN license in New Mexico or compact license required
