Respiratory Therapist Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026. You will work 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) with team scheduling that includes every third weekend for days.

Your Role

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide inpatient respiratory care across all areas and floors of the hospital, treating patients from neonates to geriatrics. You will perform EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and bedside spirometry. You will manage ventilator equipment including Drager, Servo I, and Carefusion systems, BiPAP devices such as Vision, V60, V30, and Respironics S/T models, and high-flow equipment including Airvo2. You will work within the RT scope of practice and float to different areas throughout the hospital as needed. A Lead Respiratory Therapist will be on each shift, and you will never be the only RT in-house.

Facility Environment

Hospitalists and intensivists are in-house 24/7, providing consistent physician support. The facility uses EPIC for charting and requires holiday rotation coverage with permanent staff.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC or RRT credential
• Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Recent Level 1 or Level 2 experience
• Valid driver's license at time of submission
• NRP and PALS certifications preferred

Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Orientation includes 3x12-hour shifts to familiarize you with facility protocols and equipment.

Compensation
