ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work evening/night shifts from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week with 36-hour work weeks
• Required to take call
• May float in rotation between Mares and Central Campuses
• Required to float as a sitter when needed
• Washington State or Compact RN Licensure required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Coordinate and provide high quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
• Perform holistic ongoing assessments of patient status and respond appropriately
• Accurately document care provided, assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses
• Evaluate and update discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
• Teach patients, families, and significant others appropriate health information in a timely manner
• Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff according to unit policies
• Must function consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit specific standards of practice
