PACU RN Job in Winchester, VA

Join Winchester Medical Center as a travel RN in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will provide direct patient care in a 16-bed unit, managing post-operative recovery for patients ranging from 6 months to geriatric age.

Shift & Schedule

• Work three 12-hour day shifts per week, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Weekend requirement: one weekend per month with two 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call requirement: second call, one weekend per month, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Holiday coverage preferred for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Float to sister units and on-campus surgery center as case volume shifts
• Patient population includes cardiac, procedural-based care, and general post-operative recovery

Required Experience & Credentials

• 2+ years of Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU RN experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• VA State License or Compact License

Preferred Skills

• Titrating drips
• TAVR experience
• Cardiac and procedural-based care background
