Job Details:

• Competently perform routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with physician-developed treatment plans
• Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures
• Perform a variety of radiation therapy and simulation procedures for cancer patients currently under treatment
• Maintain and operate complex radiation therapy equipment, including documenting readings and ordering required adjustments or repairs as necessary
• Prepare for and assist physicians in a variety of radiation therapy and simulation procedures
• Explain and educate patients on procedures in a clear and professional manner to alleviate fear and anxiety
• Mentor and foster a constructive teaching environment to help students and new therapists build confidence in their skills
• Perform general clerical tasks including answering phones, updating patient appointments, and managing electronic health records (EHR)
• Prepare and complete accurate documentation related to patients, procedures, and exam charges
• Inventory and order accessories and supplies to maintain established stock levels
• Implement protection devices and safety standards to minimize radiation exposure following ALARA principles
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each procedure
• Inspect and calibrate equipment for proper operation and record quality control (QC) results
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT, CRT
• Required equipment experience: TrueBeam
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
