CT Technologist Job in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint – Iowa Methodist Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment in Des Moines, IA. You will work 4x10 hour night shifts at $3,309 per week.

Role Overview

You will perform computed tomography imaging procedures using advanced equipment and protocols. Your responsibilities include operating CT scanners, preparing patients for procedures, administering contrast media, and maintaining detailed records in the EPIC electronic medical record system. You will work with patients of all ages and across multiple campuses as needed.

Required Experience and Certifications

• Minimum 24 months of CT imaging experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Proficiency with Siemens CT equipment
• Proficiency with contrast administration and power injection contrast injectors
• EPIC EMR experience
• Level III trauma imaging experience
• Recent stroke imaging experience
• Current ARRT (CT) certification
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Active Iowa radiology license or active licensing process (1–3 week turnaround acceptable)

Preferred Qualifications

• GE CT equipment experience
• Power injection contrast injector experience
• Recent Level I or Level II trauma experience
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months

Assignment Details

• Shift: 4x10 hours, nights
• Duration: 91 days, starting November 9, 2026
• Scrub color: Charcoal Gray
• No on-call responsibilities
• No guaranteed weekend shifts
• Billable overtime available between 36–40 hours per week depending on unit needs
• Required to work 1–2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• May float across campuses as assigned
