Respiratory Therapist Job in Blacksburg, VA

Join Lewisgale Hospital-Montgomery as a Respiratory Therapist on our night shift team. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 17, 2026, offering hands-on respiratory care in a supportive clinical environment.

Role Overview

You will provide direct respiratory care across a 76-bed facility that includes a 10-bed ICU, 30-bed CMU, and 36-bed medical/surgical unit, plus the emergency department. Your work will span three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with every other weekend required.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage advanced respiratory equipment including PB840s and 980s ventilators, Phillips V60s, and Hamilton c-1s
• Perform patient assessments, airway management, and therapeutic procedures
• Document patient care using the MEDITECH system for charting and records
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional degree with Respiratory Therapist credentials
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification
• NRP certification
