Cath Lab Technologist Job in Clinton, MD

MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026. You will work 3x12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with on-call requirements of 6–8 shifts per 6-week schedule, including one weekend on-call rotation. Every other weekend and holidays are required as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform right and left heart catheterization, primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), vascular and peripheral angiography, electrophysiology (EP) studies, pacemaker implants, ablations, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) support, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, coronary lithotripsy, coronary microvascular disease diagnostics, biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, port placements, gastrojejunal tube placement, and nephrostomy tube placement
• Float to interventional radiology (IR) and EP as needed to support clinical demands
• Manage a daily census of 15–20 patients across 4 procedure rooms
• Document procedures using MacLab and CardioLab systems

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
• Completed travel assignment within the past 12 months
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• ARRT R (Registered Radiologic Technologist) or CCI RCIS (Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist) credential
• Maryland license (compact or state license accepted)
• Passing score of at least 80% on Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam, with 100% accuracy on lethal arrhythmias

Preferred Experience

• Interventional radiology and EP experience
• Community hospital background
• Trauma Level I facility experience
• Proficiency with GE and Philips fluoroscopy systems, Philips and Zonaire ultrasound, MacLab, and CardioLab

You will care for adult and geriatric patient populations. Weekly pay is $2,557.
