ICU RN Job in Columbus, NE

Columbus Community Hospital is seeking an RN for its 9-bed Intensive Care Unit in Columbus, Nebraska. You'll work 3x12 hour night shifts on a temporary assignment covering maternity leave and orientations, with a duration of 89 days beginning November 2, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,334.

In this role, you will:

• Provide direct patient care in a dynamic ICU environment that may extend to 12 beds as census needs require
• Care for patients on mechanical ventilation, manage post-surgical complications, and monitor patients receiving advanced hemodynamic support including Impella and balloon pump therapies
• Provide critical care to hypoxic patients and those requiring continuous infusion management
• Care for pediatric patients—any patient under 12 years old admitted to this facility is placed in the ICU
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in Nebraska or a Compact State
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in an ICU setting
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
• CPI or MOAB certification (on-site training available if needed)
• Previous experience in a community or rural hospital setting is highly preferred
