PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• 12-hour variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime billable after 48 hours worked in a week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed
• 8-bed observation unit with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Treat patients with conditions including anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, pre and post-op urology and GI cases, with average patient stay up to 48 hours
• Administer drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin
• High volume of admissions and discharges
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips required; EKG exam required during compliance
• Minimum 3 years of experience required with at least 1 prior travel assignment required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Background in observation units or MS/Tele units preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC); NIHSS highly preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
