OR Trauma RN Job in Augusta, GA

You will work as a Trauma Nurse in the Operating Room at Doctors Hospital – Augusta GA, serving in a trauma bay environment within the emergency department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend scheduling required
• No floating or on-call requirements

Role Responsibilities

• Serve as Trauma Nurse Lead during initial primary and secondary survey periods
• Work across 2 trauma bays
• Perform IV placement, spinal stabilization, splinting, and traction
• Assist with chest tube procedures and emergency bedside procedures
• Place central and arterial lines
• Run mass transfusions through Level 1 rapid infuser
• Provide OR assistance as needed
• Operate in high-stress environments with rapid critical thinking

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Current RN license
• ED/Trauma experience required
• Current TNCC, ACLS, and BLS certifications
• PALS certification required
• ENPC preferred
• Strong IV background

Equipment & Systems

You will work with Level 1 rapid infuser, HOT LINE, EKG, GE CareScape ultrasound, Hamilton ventilator, CAT tourniquet, and Alaris IV pump. Documentation uses Meditech EMR. Required dress code: red top and black bottom scrubs.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,102.40
