Respiratory Therapist Job in Albany, GA

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week (Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with no on-call responsibilities.

Compensation and Schedule

• Weekly pay: $2,010
• Shift: 3x12 nights, Friday–Sunday
• Clock-in window: 6:38 PM to 6:46 PM
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Holidays rotated with permanent staff; expect every other holiday off

Clinical Responsibilities

You will perform all respiratory therapy duties including nebulizers, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, mechanical ventilation, ABG collection, bedside PFTs, and chest physiotherapy. In ICU settings, you will handle A-line placement, blood gas management, intubation, and bronchoscopies. You will manage Servo ventilators (U and I models), read ABGs, alert on critical values, and make confident vent management suggestions. Adult therapists cover both pediatric and adult patient populations. You will complete approximately 550 minutes of treatments per shift, averaging 15 minutes per treatment with 13–15 patients per shift.

Requirements

• RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) via NBRC
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) via NBRC
• Minimum 2 years experience, including facilities with 300+ beds
• Minimum 1 prior travel contract
• Critical care experience required
• Comfortable intubating patients
• Accustomed to high and heavy workloads
• ACLS, BLS (AHA), and PALS certifications required
• NRP certification required if assigned to NICU
• Georgia state respiratory therapist license
• Reside within 75-mile radius of facility
