CVOR RN Job in Asheville, NC

Join Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC as a Registered Nurse in Cardiovascular Surgery Operating Room (CVOR). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026.

Position Details

• Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM (5x8 days)
• Weekly pay: $3,212
• Occasional on-call responsibilities 1–2 times per week
• Work in a 4-bed CV PreOp unit with 1:1 patient ratio

Key Responsibilities

• Perform large-bore IV starts, hair removal, medication administration, and skin assessments
• Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement
• Transport patients to the OR and support induction, intubation, positioning, and skin prep
• Monitor patients using GE Carescape equipment and Fuji ultrasound
• Document care in Cerner electronic health records
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Float within scope of practice and experience as needed

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) degree
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Critical care experience required; PreOp experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and independent work skills in high-acuity settings
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• BCMA proficiency required
• No first-time travelers
