Cath Lab Technologist Job in Riverview, FL

You will work as a Cath Lab Technologist at St. Josephs Hospital - South in Riverview, Florida. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a day shift from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, working four 10-hour shifts per week. Your weekly pay is $2,480.

The role focuses on a hybrid cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology lab. You will support both cardiac cath and IR cases—no neuro or structural heart cases. You will manage a daily caseload of approximately 25 patients per technologist and must be able to scrub, monitor, and circulate.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience
• Strong cardiac catheterization skillset
• Strong interventional radiology experience
• Proficiency with balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, coil embolization, filter placement, pacemaker and defibrillator device placement, impella insertion, left heart catheterization, and right heart catheterization
• IR procedures: stents, angioplasty, thoracentesis, peripherals, upper and lower extremity, abdominal and pelvic, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, and venous access
• EKG experience including pacemakers, rhythm interpretation, sinus node rhythms, and holter monitoring
• EP experience: baseline measurements, insertion and programming of AICDs, and pacemaker insertion

Required Certifications:

• Florida license
• BLS and ACLS
• ARRT R
• CCI RCES and CCI RCIS
• CET
• Fluoro Permit
• ARRT Advanced Certification

Call Schedule and Patient Population:

You will participate in on-call coverage: one week on call followed by two weeks off. The call team consists of 2 RNs and 2 Techs and covers both STEMI and IR cases. You will work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Facility Details:

Preferred equipment includes Siemens Artis Q, Penumbra, Angiojet, Phillips Xper, and Volcano/IVUS systems. The facility uses Cerner for charting. Scrub color is royal blue.
