PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work on a step-down and med-surg unit with 23 step-down beds and 16 med-surg beds
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 for step-down and 1:4-6 for med-surg
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, and 4 PCTs; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, and 4 PCTs
• Perform typical unit procedures including trach care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes
• Work with equipment including lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable vented patients, and trachs
• EMR system: Cerner (previous experience preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience working with trachs required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Wear navy blue scrubs per dress code policy
• Float to other med-surg and progressive care units as needed
• Must work 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts within a 6-week period
• Flexibility and high level of clinical competence preferred
