Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts on a variable schedule (shift times vary: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, or 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM)
• Schedule consists of 3 shifts per week (3 x 12s)
• Call requirements include Saturday and Sunday on a rotational basis, approximately once every four to six weeks
• Saturday call hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Sunday call hours: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Provide high-level care for Cardiac Observation Unit (COU) patients pre and post Cath Lab procedures
• Admit and prep patients for Cath procedures including charting pre-procedure checklist, IV starts, and access preparation
• Prep patients for Cardioversions (CV) and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Recover patients following Cath procedures involving conscious sedation
• Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures including CV and TEE
• Discharge patients including patient teaching, documentation, and physical discharge
• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice
• Work with high risk, high acuity patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Arizona RN license or compact state license required
• Experience in PACU, ICU, Telemetry, Cath Lab, or Surgery Center considered on a case-by-case basis
