CVOR RN Job in Mason City, IA

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking an RN for our cardiovascular operating room (CVOR). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 20, 2026, offering you the opportunity to work in a specialized surgical setting while building your clinical experience.

Position Details:

• Cardiovascular operating room nursing role requiring CVOR certification and open heart surgery experience
• 5x8 day shift schedule
• Weekly pay: $2,941
• On-call responsibilities: 10–15 days per month
• Every other holiday (EOH) scheduling
• Extended time off (ETW) scheduling included

You will support surgical teams during cardiovascular and open heart procedures, maintaining focus on patient safety, sterile technique, and seamless OR operations. Your responsibilities will include equipment management, specimen handling, sponge and instrument counts, and coordinated communication with surgeons, anesthesia, and perfusion staff.

This assignment is ideal if you hold current CVOR certification, possess hands-on experience in cardiac surgery, and are comfortable with the demands of a busy surgical environment. The on-call component and flexible scheduling allow for meaningful work-life balance during your 91-day engagement.
