PCU RN Job in Newport, VT

North Country Hospital is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position on the night shift. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026, offering stability and the chance to contribute to patient care in a community setting.

Position Details:

• Shift: 3x12 nights with every other weekend rotation
• Weekly pay: $2,596
• Duration: 91 days
• Facility: North Country Hospital, Newport, VT

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the PCU setting
• Perform charge nurse duties as assigned
• Work independently to manage patient needs and priorities
• Float to other units including the Emergency Department and maternal-child health (MCH) areas as needed
• Attend department quarterly education sessions

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Ability to work night shifts independently
• Willingness to assume charge nurse responsibilities
• Flexibility to float to different units
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Personal transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation in the area is limited
