Job Details:

• 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Weekends, call, and holidays required
• Must arrive within 30 minutes of being called in
• Must be certified as a Surgical Tech
• Travel experience required
• Orthopedic experience required
• Scrubbing experience required
• Da Vinci experience required
• May be asked to precept new staff
• Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or current New York State LPN license eligible
• Knowledge in the use of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of equipment and instrumentation utilized in the clinical operating room setting required
• BLS certification required
• Function under the direct supervision of an RN and assist in nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient by performing routine and delegated duties
• Perform technical duties relating to scrub personnel, including precise and efficient reaction to all situations and assist with departmental work as assigned
• Create and maintain a sterile surgical room and ensure that surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely
• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures
