ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Multiple shifts available with shift start times confirmed during interview
• Full-time position
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with most recent experience in an ED - Level 1, 2, or 3 Trauma setting
• Provide routine and complex nursing care, practicing independently in the emergency department setting
• Treat a wide variety of patients including clinic type patients, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all ED cases
• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), TNCC
• Active RN license in New Mexico or compact state required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
