PCU RN Job in Zanesville, OH

Join Genesis Healthcare System as a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the night shift. You will provide direct patient care in a stepdown setting, working 36 hours per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This is a 91-day contract position starting November 16, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,111.

Schedule & Expectations

• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Typically work every 3rd weekend
• Cover 1 holiday per contract, subject to change based on census
• No on-call required; may occasionally be asked to take a rare call day during staffing fluctuations
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract

Experience & Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of cardiac step-down experience required
• Hands-on experience with heart catheterization recovery, cardiac drips, and post-operative open-heart patients
• Proficiency with cardiac and medical-surgical step-down patients
• Current knowledge of open-heart nursing care
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Comfortable providing care to ventilated patients if needed in rare circumstances, though ventilator patients are not typically admitted to this unit

Additional Information

• May be required to float to other units during low-volume periods or coverage crisis situations
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
