ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts with variable start times including 7-7, 9-9, 10-10, 11-11, and 2-2
• Schedules made 30-45 days in advance
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holidays worked into permanent staff rotation
• First to float when needed
• Patient ratio is typically 1:4 depending on patient acuity
• 15-bed emergency department with a 6-bed fast track open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Level III trauma experience or above preferred
• Must have 3-5 years of experience in emergency nursing specialty
• Common diagnoses include stroke, abdominal pain, orthopedic injuries, psychiatric patients, and general emergency cases
• Facility sees approximately 100 patient visits per day and 500-600 pediatric patients per month
• EMR system: Cerner (First Net)
• Telemetry: Philips with central monitor tech in ICU monitoring ER patient strips
• Ventilator experience required
• No floating required
• Unit orientation: 2-3 days on unit
• No IV Team on site
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Pharmacy available 24/7
• Scrub color: Navy
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• BSN not required
• Valid California nursing license required
