About this role

Desert Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 13-week travel contract position working 3 shifts of 12 hours on nights, starting June 15, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct clinical care to assigned patients in a 29-bed emergency department equipped with 27 monitors. You will assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions appropriate to each patient's condition. Your patient ratio will be 1:4, allowing you to deliver focused, attentive care.

As part of the care team, you will supervise staff for delegated care responsibilities and support the facility's Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care standards. You will also help maintain the clinical competency of staff and ensure appropriate resource management throughout your shifts.

Compensation and Schedule

Weekly pay is $2,332.80. The contract runs for 91 days, concluding around mid-September 2026.

Facility and Logistics

The facility provides an employee parking lot for your convenience. On your first day, check in at the front lobby and ask for Human Resources with security to complete onboarding. Any solid color scrubs are acceptable, so you have flexibility in your dress code. You are responsible for clocking in and out independently at the start and end of each shift.

What We're Looking For

You are a licensed Registered Nurse with emergency department experience or the ability to transition quickly into the ED environment. You are organized, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting where clinical judgment and patient advocacy are essential.

Why Consider This Role

This 13-week assignment offers you the opportunity to gain travel experience while working in a structured emergency department. You will work alongside experienced colleagues in a facility focused on safety and quality care. The night shift schedule and 12-hour shifts provide extended time off between work days.
