NSICU RN Job in Asheville, NC

Join Mission Hospital's Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (J4-NSICU) as a travel RN. You'll work in a 12-bed specialty unit caring for patients with acute neurological conditions, including post-thrombectomy, post-TPA, and post-neurosurgery patients.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Perform advanced monitoring and procedures including CRRT, bedside EVDs, and A-line monitoring
• Manage post-thrombectomy and TPA patient care
• Care for post-neurosurgery patients
• Use Baxter pumps and Cerner documentation system
• Float to other ICUs or step-down units as needed

Schedule & Duration

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• Self-scheduling with unit needs consideration
• 6 weekend shifts required per scheduling period
• 91-day assignment starting August 17, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,223

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• ICU experience required
• Neurology ICU experience preferred

Unit Details

Unit secretaries and support technicians are available to assist you. Navy blue dress code is required. This is a backfill position supporting Mission Hospital's critical care operations.
