PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must be willing to float to all units within skill level
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Post-operative open-heart care experience required
• Critical care experience highly preferred
• Chest tube and other drain management experience required
• Pre- and post-procedure care experience for patients with radial and femoral access required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips and recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms required
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities required
• Experience with assisting in chest tube removal, removal of pericardial pacing wires, and management of temporary pacers including pericardial and transcutaneous devices required
• Experience with use and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required
• Skills checklist current within one year pertinent to PCU specialty required
