NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience at Level 2 or greater required
• Active compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Work in a Special Care Nursery Level II unit caring for infants 32 weeks and above
• Patient ratios depend on acuity and volume
• Work with equipment including Giraffes, Pandas, Syringe Pumps, and Hospira Pumps
• EMR system: Meditech
• NRP skills required to attend vaginal and C-section deliveries
• Required certifications: NRP and BLS
• Preferred certifications: STABLE Certification and nursing certification within specialty
• Perform procedures including IV antibiotics, dextrose infusions, TPN/Lipids, PO/NG feeds, umbilical line maintenance, oxygen support, nasal CPAP, surfactant administration assist, and delivery attendance
• Provide family-centered care for mothers and families
• Floating areas include postpartum care for well newborns and NRN role in L&D at deliveries
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week period
• 12 hours of on-call required in addition to scheduled hours
