Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday/Sunday required)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Floating required between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses (9 miles apart); notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus
• Mid-shift floating to different units is possible
• Patient ratios range from 1:3-4 depending on unit
• Scrub color: Navy
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs; centralized telemetry monitoring
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (2 maximum attempts, within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass a Sim Lab evaluation on day one of orientation
• Charting system: Cerner
• Trauma Level: 1
• Care Setting: Acute
• Floating may include ICU, Cardiac Tele, all Tele units, MedSurg, and any holding area (Cath Lab, ER, observation floor)
• Common diagnoses include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, CABG patients, neuro post-surgical, spine, CVAs post TPA, and general MedSurg/Oncology/Ortho patients
• Patients are 15 years of age and older; no pediatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
