About this role
Join Medical City Fort Worth as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This 91-day travel assignment offers 3x12 night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) with a weekly pay of $1,708.20.
Unit Overview
You'll work in a 16-bed CVICU on the 3rd floor, maintaining a 2:1 patient ratio. The unit operates with one Charge Nurse Coordinator and consistent 2:1 staffing across day and night shifts. You'll be required to work 2 weekend shifts biweekly, with no on-call responsibilities.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care with hemodynamic monitoring expertise
- Manage Swan Ganz catheters, arterial lines, chest tubes, and mechanical ventilators
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring and related procedures
- Monitor patients post-operatively, including CABG recovery
- Float to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, and Cardiac PCU as needed
Equipment and Systems
You'll work with GE monitors, EV 1000 devices, Hemispheres monitoring systems, CRRT (NextStage), Impella devices, Swan Ganz catheters, arterial lines, and ventilators. Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience in adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or comparable critical care specialty
- Demonstrated competency with ventilator management, arterial lines, central lines, and chest tube care
- BSN and CCRN certification preferred
- CVICU-specific experience, CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella experience preferred
Work Environment
Dress code requires royal blue scrubs. The role emphasizes collaborative teamwork and strong communication within the interdisciplinary care team.
