Operating Room RN Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the Operating Room. You will work in a 21-OR facility handling all surgical specialties, with an average of 45 cases per day (ranging from 40–60).

Assignment Details

• 5x8 day shifts with variable start times: 0700–1530, 0900–1730, or 1100–1930
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Holiday rotation on an every-other basis
• On-call responsibilities: 6–8 weeknight call shifts and 1–2 weekend call shifts over the 13-week contract
• 30-minute response time required; personal vehicle mandatory
• May float to other Central Aspirus locations as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of OR experience with at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Experience in a larger facility with ORs comparable to 20+ units
• Trauma II experience required
• Circulate experience required; scrub experience preferred
• Required clinical skills: Ortho, Neuro (cranial), and Spine
• Bonus skills: General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and GI
• Current Wisconsin RN License
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Associate Degree or Certificate in nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
• Epic charting experience preferred

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,881. Assignment begins September 28, 2026.
