Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with mixed/shared acuity levels
• Float required when census warrants
• Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience required
• New graduate/first-time travelers accepted
• NY nursing license required in hand at time of submission
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Block scheduling will be accommodated when possible but not guaranteed
• Minimal requested time off preferred; cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days of RTO
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement required
• Required skills include: General Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, continuous IV paralytics, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, CVA, isolation precautions/PPE, BiPAP/CPAP management, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, drug overdose management, splint application, psychiatric hold, and suicidal patient management
• Patient age groups include: neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• 16-hour orientation required
