Respiratory Therapist Job in Brownwood, TX

Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) for their Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 30, 2026, with a weekly pay of $1,918.08.

Schedule & Logistics

• 3x12 nights on an alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule
• Block scheduling type with every other weekend worked
• Weekend coverage included

Role Responsibilities

You will provide respiratory care to patients of all ages—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Your day-to-day work includes mechanical ventilation and weaning, BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) setup, arterial blood gas drawing and interpretation, intubation assistance, tracheostomy care and management, bronchoscopy support, pulmonary function testing, chest physiotherapy, neonatal intubation, bubble CPAP, umbilical blood gases, and pediatric critical care.

Requirements

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, and RRT
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Some experience with neonates required
• Charting experience required; Sunrise (Altera) charting system experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the respiratory service line
• Previous charge experience
• Travel healthcare experience
• Community hospital experience
