Emergency Room RN Job in Santa Fe, NM

CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of August 24, 2026. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, at a weekly pay of $2,408.

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. Your responsibilities include obtaining and recording initial patient assessments and establishing priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs. You will reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention. You will develop and implement individualized, measurable plans of care within established nursing standards and make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and evaluation of patient outcomes.

Additional duties include participating in patient and family health education and discharge planning, implementing and documenting timely interventions appropriate to patient needs, and performing various point-of-care testing procedures. You will delegate unit work assignments and coordinate team assignments based on patient and unit needs. You are also expected to participate in the orientation of new staff and students on the unit.

Requirements

• Current RN license: New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification
• Current PALS (AHA) certification
• Current TNCC or ATCN certification
• CPI or equivalent preferred

Schedule Details

Every other weekend is required. There is a voluntary on-call requirement and a floating requirement to serve as helping hands during low census periods.
