Opportunity:

RN - Acute Care Med Surg Adult

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Standard RN duties and skills required with at least 2 years of experience
• Provide care in a 34-bed adult surgical general unit
• Knowledgeable in surgical pre/postoperative care required
• Strong work experience in pre/postoperative nursing required, including abdominal surgeries such as lap chole/appy, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, and drains
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1 RN to 5-6 patients
• May be assigned to float to other units or departments
• Equipment utilized includes vital signs machines, IV and PCA pumps, WOWS/EMR charting, and Pyxis
• Dress code: Regular nursing uniforms
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Active State of Hawaii nursing license required by start of assignment
