OR RN Job in Raleigh, NC

You will work as an RN in the Operating Room at University of North Carolina Health Care System in Raleigh, NC. This is a night shift position—16 hours per shift—on a contract lasting 89 days, starting August 3, 2026. You will earn $2,610 weekly.

Position Requirements

• Current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification, completed through AWHONN or GE
• Previous Labor & Delivery experience required

Your Responsibilities

You will provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. You will coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting, demonstrating competence in caring for patients with complex problems. This includes addressing population-appropriate physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care.

You will perform bedside point-of-care testing as required by the patient care plan. You will organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs, consulting with appropriate resources when managing patients with complex care issues, unusual teaching needs, or those at high risk for discharge planning.

You will assess and anticipate discharge needs for individual patients and families. Working collaboratively, you will prepare or update the plan of care with patients and families, utilizing multidisciplinary resources in care planning. You will identify and address cultural and ethnic issues when planning patient care.

You will participate in evaluating patient care with members of the interdisciplinary team and communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care.
