Telemetry RN Job in Austin, TX

You'll work as an RN on a 30-bed neurological medical/surgical telemetry unit at South Austin Hospital TX. This is a 13-week contract assignment starting August 3, 2026.

Schedule & Pay

• 3x12 night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• $1,576.80 per week
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• No call requirements

Your Role

You'll care for patients with a 1:5 patient ratio on a unit focused on neurological and medical/surgical cases. You'll perform stroke NIH assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care. The unit uses Meditech for electronic medical records.

Equipment & Systems

You'll work with Welch Allyn vital sign monitors, computers on wheels (COWs), Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, CareView Virtual Sitter, Telepsych, and Teleneuro systems.

Requirements

• RN license
• BLS certification
• NIH certification
• ACLS certification preferred

Unit Details

You'll be part of a team-oriented environment on a unit that values self-motivated staff. Navy scrubs are required; hoop nose piercings are not permitted. An orientation packet will be provided on your start date.
