PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
• Unit is a 30-bed Recovery Room
• Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC/charge nurse and 12 nurses
• Night shift staffing includes 2 RNs, sometimes scheduled as on-call rather than set shifts
• Patient ratios of 1 RN to 2 patients or 1 RN to 1 patient depending on acuity
• On-call is required with a 30-minute response time
• EMR system used is Meditech; prior experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PACU RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Typical procedures performed on unit include craniotomies and orthopedic procedures
• Flexibility with hours is preferred
• Strong patient experience focus with a positive, calm attitude preferred
